PRAYER OF UNITY
0 Lord Jesus Christ!
We adore you and thank you
because by your sacrifice, dying on the cross,
you redeemed the world.
In your mercy pour your blood on us
and on our children,
upon all men and women in every place,
in every walk of life, with all their desires,
upon your people of the Old Covenant,
and the land of their inheritance,
and on all the creation
in its yearning for liberty!
Pour your blood,
0 Lord,
especially on our relationship with you
and with one another.
Unite us all to yourself and to one another in the one and indivisible communion of life and love of your sacred heart,
a communion that embraces all and everything.
That all may be only for the glory of God,
for the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven,
for the joy of all the angels and saints,
and for our full salvation
in body, soul and spirit,
and in our material goods too,
in the past, present and future,
so that the will of the Father may be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
